The Australasian Society for HIV, Viral Hepatitis and Sexual Health Medicine (ASHM) is Australasia’s peak professional body of workers in HIV, viral hepatitis, sexual and reproductive health and transgender health. We deliver the training, develop the guidelines, and advocate for the needs of our members and communities. ASHM maintains the accreditation for prescribers of important HIV therapies and is an independent and trusted Public Health Organisation. Our members are physicians, nurses, researchers, epidemiologists, social workers and allied health workers – united to helping our diverse communities to live longer and better.

Who are we looking for?

You will provide high-level administrative support for our education course delivery, and membership, with a focus on general administrative and organisational support, course planning and logistics and special projects as required.

With your previous experience in either an events company or an office environment, you will have well-developed written communication skills and a high level of verbal communication skills, including a professional telephone manner. Candidates must be confident, with strong organisational skills, detail-oriented, the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and the ability to work within a team environment to meet strict deadlines and undertake a range of support functions.

ASHM is seeking candidates with tertiary qualifications, or enrolment in Health, Business Administration or Events Management, or equivalent experience. Excellent computer skills are also required, including data entry and database systems.
