What will my donation be used for?
Donating to the ASHM Gift Fund supports both domestic and global programs by providing scholarships, training, and capacity development opportunities for those living in low- and middle-income countries and settings.
Is my donation tax deductible?
Yes, donations of $2 and over are tax deductible in Australia.
Will I get a receipt?
Yes, you will receive receipts by email after you donate or after a recurring donation has been processed.
Who oversees the ASHM Gift Fund?
The ASHM Finance, Risk Management and Audit (FRMA) National Board Advisory Group.
How are applications for support considered and approved by the Committee?
The Finance, Risk Management and Audit (FRMA) National Board Advisory Group approves fund requests for ASHM Gift Fund investments over $2000.
How can I stay informed about projects funded by the Gift Fund?
All projects funded by the Gift Fund are documented in our Annual Report. If you subscribe to our newsletter, you will be notified when it is published.
How can I cancel or change a recurring donation?
You can cancel or modify a recurring donation at any time. Simply log in to MyASHM to manage your subscription.
How can I request a refund?
Donations are accepted in good faith and are non-refundable unless there is evidence of an error made by us or you. Refunds may also be issued in exceptional circumstances, such as evidence of donor vulnerability.
In the case where a refund is approved and provided:
- Your tax receipt and any tax deductions claimed are no longer valid. You may need to notify the ATO, and they will advise you.
- We reserve the right to deduct any bank or transaction charges for any refunds processed.
